Dubai Capitals and MI Emirates faced each other in the 29th match of the ILT at Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Dubai. Dubai Capitals won the toss and decided to bowl first.

Muhammad Waseem and Andre Fletcher came to open for MI Emirates, and Fred Klaassen opened the bowling attack. Fletcher hit back-to-back boundaries in the first over and it was also the first boundary of the match. In the 2nd over, Fletcher got out on the first ball after scoring 9(6), and Bas de Leede got out on the 4th ball after scoring 2(4). Tucker hit two fours in the third over. In the 5th over, Muhammad Waseem hit two boundaries – six and four, and MI reached 50 runs. MI Emirates played beautifully in the powerplay and scored 58 runs with a loss of 3 wickets.

In the 9th over, Muhammad Waseem got out after scoring 31(24). After 12 overs, MI Emirates was 92-4. In the 14th over, MI reached 100 runs. In the 17th over, Pooran started the over with a six and got out after scoring 43(31). In the 19th over, Thompson hit two sixes, and MI reached 150 runs.

In 20 overs, MI Emirates scored 164 runs with a loss of 7 wickets.

Chasing 165 runs, Robin Uthappa and George Munsey came to open, and Brad Wheal opened the bowling attack. In the third over, Munsey hit the four in the third over, and Uthappa hit a six on the last ball. Dubai started the powerplay very beautifully but lost the wicket of Uthappa in the 6th over. After 6 overs, Dubai Capitals were 44-1.

In the 7th over, Munsey got out after scoring 14(16) on the second ball, and Powell got out without scoring any runs. Sikandar Raza smashed the six in the 9th over and reached 50 runs. In the 11th over, Raza hit back-to-back two boundaries -six and four. In the 13th over, Shanaka hit four, and his team reached 100 runs. In the 15th over, Shanka hit one six and two fours. After 15 overs, Dubai Capitals were 128-3.

In the 16th over, Shanka took a single on the fourth ball and scored his half-century in just 32 balls. In the 18th over, Raza hit two boundaries – four and six. Sikandar Raza hit a boundary in the 19th over, Dubai Capitals scored 166-3 and won the match by 7 wickets.
