Virat Kohli International Runs: Virat Kohli has resumed his journey to greatness with a brilliant half-century on Sunday, building on his critical return to form before the T20 World Cup. At 1-1 in the series, Kohli persevered and led the international India cricket team to victory in Hyderabad with a strong performance. The former captain of India broke numerous records in the process. He is currently India’s second-highest run scorer. Though he has passed Rahul Dravid, Sachin Tendulkar is still in front of him.

India won by six wickets after Virat Kohli struck yet another fifty in a run chase. In the process, the 33-year-old surpassed Rahul Dravid, currently India’s head coach, to rank as the nation’s second-best batter in history.

The 33-year-old has completed 24,078 runs in his current international career. Only Sachin Tendulkar has a higher ranking among Indians. He passed Dravid, who has 24,064 to his name during his illustrious career, en route to his innings.

The only player with an average over 50 among those who have amassed more than 10,000 runs for India international cricket is Kohli. The average age of Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid is 45, while that of the other players ranges from the late 30s to the early 40s.

On Sunday, Kohli gave the impression that he was confident in fulfilling his pledge and improving upon his two prior failures. With Suryakumar Yadav in the middle, the former captain of India put up a solid defence. With Kohli taking a back seat, the pair scored 104 runs for the third wicket.

India moved along smoothly to end the stressful chase when Kohli changed tactics after Suryakumar was dismissed. The 33-year-old was eventually sent out for 63 off only 48 deliveries, laced with three boundaries and four sixes.
