The third match of IND Vs SA ODI was held on 11 October 2022 at Arun Jaitley Stadium, New Delhi. India won the toss and invited South Africa to bat first. In less than 28 overs, South Africa was bowled out for 99, losing 8 wickets to spin as Washington, Shahbaz, and Kuldeep ran riot on a helpless surface but by no means unplayable. This was South Africa’s lowest ODI score against India. Kuldeep dismissed 4 South African players, including Nortje, Fortuin, and Phehlukwayo. Though it’s the simplest run chase for India, let’s see how India will win this IND Vs SA ODI series.

The second inning started with Dhawan and Shubman Gill at the crease, and Marco Jansen opened the attack. In the first over, India got 2 wides and turned them into an opportunity by hitting 7 runs in the first over. The 38 runs partnership between Dhawan and Shubhman Gill ended in the 7th over when Fortuin dismissed Dhawan. It was a run-out, and Dhawan went after scoring 8(13).

However, India completed 50 runs in the 10th over with a four from the bat of Ishan Kishan. Ishan Kishan was hitting boundaries but caught out earlier in the 11th over after scoring 10(18). Shubhman stayed on the other side and was playing well. Shubhman Gill was one run away from hitting his half-century when he was gone in the 19th over. Samson came into the crease, hit a six in the last ball, and credited the win into the account of India. India won the match by 7 wickets to capture the series 2-1.
