On the 3rd day of the test match, after summing up the innings of the Bangladesh within 45 mins, India didn’t choose to enable a follow on and opted to bat first. Previously, left-arm wrist-spinner Kuldeep Yadav took 5 wickets in 50 overs as India dismissed all Bangladeshi batters for 150 in the first innings, taking a whopping score lead of 254 on day 3. 

Gill and Pujara paired up for a lethal partnership as both got centuries today. Initially, Shubham Gill crunched his maiden test ton and carried the Indian innings. 

Gill tried to attempt a quickfire and he got a dismissal meanwhile. Thereafter, Cheteshwar Pujara stole the show today, scoring unbeaten 102 runs in 130 balls. As he completed his century, this was his fastest-ever international test century. His innings led team India to take a lead of 512 runs. 

When Bangladesh came to bat, the boys made a good start as on the 3rd day, they didn’t lose any wicket. The openers Najmul Hossain Shanto and Zakir Hasan played 12 overs and paired up to get 42 runs in the 2nd innings. 

Shanto scored 25 while Hasan got 17 runs and they are after the run chase, needing 271 more to win. India will have 2 complete days and 6 sessions to edge out Bangladesh.
