Ind vs NZ, 3rd ODI: India Routed NZ by 90 Runs and Clean Sweeped the Blackcaps
India’s brand-new era, presided over by Rohit Sharma, got off to the best possible start as they easily defeated the Black Caps 3-0.
New Zealand was chasing the 386 runs, Kuldeep Yadav’s and Shardul Thakur’s three wickets in the match meant Kiwi were unable to recover. With just one batter reaching hundred and others were struggling to score runs. Devon Conway put up a fight with a fantastic century but did not receive enough assistance from the other batsmen.
Earlier in the day, India amassed a massive total of 385 after being given to bat first. Rohit Sharma scored a brilliant hundred along with Shubman Gill, and Hardik Pandya hit a half century and Shardul Thakur played a cameo in the end. Additionally useful were Virat Kohli.
Finn Allen and Conway came to bat and Hardik Pandya opened the bowling attack. Finn Allen got out on the second ball without scoring any runs. Henry Nicholls hit the first four in the third over on Hardik Pandya. Devon Conway hit two fours on Sundar. Nichols got out after scoring 42 runs.
Other batters struggled to score runs as Dryl Mitchell scored 24, the hero of the first match, Michael Bracewell scored 26 and Santner scored 34 runs. Shardul Thakur and Kuldeep Yadan took 3 wickets each and Yuzvedra Chahal took two wickets while Hardik took one wicket. Shardul Thakur became player of the match while Shubman Gill became player of the match.
