IND VS SRI LANKA: SRI LANKA THRASHED INDIA BY 6 WICKETS

With Dilshan Madushanka opening the bowling attack, Rahul blocked the first over with a convenient 4 runs on the board. Hitting the ball over the fence, KL Rahul left the pitch early, scoring a total of 6 runs against the spin from Maheesh Theekshana. The cricket match of Ind vs Sri Lanka looked very intriguing for cricket enthusiasts.

In the hope of positioning the team to strength, Kohli joined Sharma but got a woeful defeat with a perfect in-swinger by Madushanka. While India swayed after losing 2 key wickets in the start, Sharma picked the pace of the team with his intent and first boundary.

The brilliant run association of Rohit and Suryakumar Yadav came out with a score of 112 but Karunaratne took Sharma’s wicket; 71 runs off 41 deliveries. Soon, SKY lost his wicket scoring 34 off 29 balls.

The left-handed dasher, Rishabh Pant found it difficult to find the gap towards the deep square leg and gave three boundaries in five balls.

With the cumulative efforts and a struggle & a couple of good shots by the men in blue, India restricted its scores to 173/8.

For a run chase of 174, Kusal Mendis led a solid start for Sri Lanka. Bhuvneshwar bowled amazingly allowing just 1 run off the first over. With a slow and short-in-length bowler, Arshdeep Singh, SL hit the ball up for a six. Both the top-order openers of SL stood unbeaten till hitting 50 by the sixth over.

Indian pacers showed a poor bowling attack. Sri Lankan laid out 97 run association against India in T20 Internationals in Asia Cup 2022.

Condoning a huge pressure, Yuzvendra Chahal struck for a wicket and Nissanka walked off the ground, scoring an excellent 52 off 37 deliveries. Consequently, India got another successful wicket of Asalanka in the same over on a strike of Chahal, caught by SKY.

Gunathilaka hit it straight to Rahul against a flight off-break from R Ashwin, standing at 110/3. Taking wickets consistently, India was on a roll with Chahal trapping Mendis, compelling him to leave with a score of 57 off 37 balls at 14.1 overs.

Taking the batting charge on the crease, Rajapaksa partnered with Shanaka to face Arshdeep’s yorker and took SL to 141/4.

At the moment of the remaining 17 balls, the fierce cricketer, Hardik Pandya came back into the attack for the next over but Shanaka helped his team to a maximum.

In the last over, Arshdeep used his wonderful yorkers to knock out Sri Lanka but SL made its consistent and impeccable second win against India with a score of 174/4.
