Ind vs. South Africa, 3rd T20I Match Preview: India Look Forward to Whitewash South Africa

India and South Africa will come against each other for the third match of the T20I series on October 4, 2022. In the recently played matches, India has a lead of 2 wins and will be looking for a 3-feat win. In the previous match, David Miller remained unbeaten at a score of 106 while team India defended the match with 237 runs.

India swiftly triumphed over South Africa in a T20 bilateral series which happened for the first time on that ground. From here, India will be eyeing to whitewash South Africa.

For the upcoming match, India has rested their top two players, KL Rahul and Virat Kohli, and there are chances that Shreyas Iyer will be walking in the playing XI.

Both teams have had a history of scoring 450 runs. The bowling figures of both the teams must not be compared, but Anrich Nortje has constantly been struggling to get his rhythm which may or may not bring a consolidated win for South Africa.

On the upside, South Africa got a turnaround in the batting in Trivandrum. With a brilliant 2nd T20I hundred from David Miller and 69 from Quinton de Kock in the game fest in Guwahati.

However, their team’s current form of Temba Bavuma and Rilee Rossouw is a point of concern. This pair’s difficulty in getting off a significant mark may encourage India to get a 3-feet win, and Rilee Rossouw may make a path for one of the two batters before the commencement of the T20 World Cup.

Recent Records of Ind vs. SA

Suryakumar Yadav was in-form and proved one of the most successful batters from team India, smashing 61 runs in 22 balls with a strike rate of 277. He hit five boundaries and huge sixes during his playing innings and contributed enough to his team.

From the India squad, the top order batter, KL Rahul, was also outstanding with his bat, scoring 57 runs in 28 balls, including five boundaries and four impressive sixes.
