The women’s teams, Bangladesh and United States came against each other at  Willowmoore Park B Field, Benoni.

With both the captains on the pitch, the USA women won the toss and opted to bat first. Laasya Mullapudi and Disha Dhingra opened the batting attack on the opening bowling of Marufa Akter. In the first over only, Mullapudi bought the first two boundaries of the innings and after 3 overs, USA women got a score of 10.

In the next over, Mullapudi lost her wicket to Disha Biswas, adding just 5 runs in 12 balls and the left-handed batter, Snigdha Paul came to the crease. After 8 overs, the score shifted to 27-1.

With Dhingra and Paul smacking boundaries, the side crossed the half-century with a score of 56-1 after 13 overs. Scoring 20 off 39 balls, Dhingra lost her wicket to Biswas.

In 20 overs, the side crossed the century and posted 103 runs on the scoreboard

with a loss of 4 wickets.

To open the batting attack, Afia Humaira Anam and Sumaiya Akter came to open the batting attack on the bowling of Snigdha Paul.

In the 2nd over, Aker hit the first four for the side and Bangladesh women got a score of 17 after 3 overs. Scoring just 10 runs in 12 balls, Sumaiya Akter lost her wicket to Chudasama.

After 6 overs, the score shifted to 35-2 and Bangladesh women crossed the half-century with a score of 58-2 after 8 overs.

Bangladesh women jumped to a score of 65-4 after 10 overs. After 13 overs, BAN women jumped to a score of 86-4 and Bangladesh women jumped to a score of 91-5 after 16 overs.

In 17.3 overs, Bangladesh women scored 104 runs with a loss of 5 wickets and won the match by 5 wickets.
