Bangladesh Premier League: Comilla Victorians Advances to the Final After Defeating Sylhet Strikers by 4 Wickets

In the first Qualifier of BPL 2023, Comilla Victorians came face to face against Sylhet Strikers. Comilla won the toss and invited Sylhet to bat first. Both teams have performed really well throughout the league and the world was waiting to see the best team into the finals. Starting their innings, Sylhet struggled initially. When the Strikers lost their first three wickets, Mortaza moved up the order. He and Shanto made a great team as they both helped to steady the ship. After the first stoppage, the Strikers once more lost three wickets quickly in succession, and Rahim then came through with a useful contribution. The majority of the Victorian bowlers did an excellent job, and as a result of their cumulative effort, their hitters will have little trouble in achieving the target of 126 in 20 overs. Shanto scored 38 off 29 while Mortaza and Mushfiqur Rahim scored 26 and 29, respectively.

In response to this, Sunil Narine got the Victorians off to a quick start in their reply, and even though they lost a few wickets after that, the score was not high enough to put them in danger. Initially, Mosaddek and Moeen Ali played wisely and contributed with a helpful collaboration. Despite a few setbacks in the latter innings, Comilla finally prevailed by 4 wickets. Comilla Victorians are the first side to get to the Bangladesh Premier League 2023 championship game. Earlier in the evening, their bowlers worked as a team to limit the opposition to a meagre score.
