Sydney Thunder and Adelaide Strikers came against each other at Sydney Showground Stadium, Sydney. The latter team won the toss and opted to bat first. 

Short and Weatherald came to unveil the batting attack on the bowling of Fazalhaq Farooqi. In the first over only, Short bought the first boundary for the side and one more in the immediate over. ADS got a score of 15 after 2 overs. 

Scoring 9 runs in 11 balls, Short lost his wicket to Farooqi while Weatherald got a dismissal from Sandhu, scoring 10 in 10 balls. After 6 overs, ADS score shifted to 34-3. 

After 9 overs, ADS crossed the half-century, standing at a score of 53-3. In the 11th over, Grandhomme smacked two huge sixes and Lynn drilled two fours in the next over and the score of the side reached to 91-3. 

Fueling 36 runs in 27 balls, Grandhomme lost his wicket to Doggett and after 14 overs, the side crossed the century, with a score of 105-4. After 18 overs, ADS jumped to a score of 129 with a loss of 7 wickets. 

In 20 overs, ADS posted 139 runs with a loss of 9 wickets. 

For the run chase of 140, Hales and Matthew Gilkes came to the middle on the bowling attack of Short. SDT had a worst time today and in the first over only, Gikes lost his wicket and the left-handed batter, Rilee Rossouw took the batting charge. 

In the next over, Rossouw got a dismissal from Thornton and again Sangha lost his wicket. After 2 overs, the side got a score of 7 with a loss of 3 wickets. 

In the 3rd over, Wes Agar took 4 wickets of SYT batters. In the 5th over, Doggett bought the first four for the side and the score shifted to 14-8. SYT was unfortunate today and only scored 15 runs in 5.5 overs.
