The 15th match of BPL was played between Khulna Tigers and Rangpur Riders at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium, Chattogram. Khulna Tigers won the toss and decided to bowl first.

Rony Talukdar and Parvez Hossain Emon came to open the batting attack while Nahidul Islam opened the bowling attack. On the second ball, Rony Talukdar got stumped, and Nahudul got the first hit. Mohammad Naim opened the boundary attack. In the third over, Nahidul gave away two boundaries – four and six but took the wicket of Mohammad Naim on the last ball. After 3 over, RGR was 22-2. After an average power play, Parvez Hossain Emon opened his arm, hit back-to-back boundaries, and reached his team to 50 runs with a six.

Wahab Riaz came into the attack in the 8th over and took the wicket of settled Parvez Hossain. After 10 overs, RGR was 64-3. In the 11th over, Shoaib Malik hit the four and returned to the pavilion on the next ball. Mahedi Hasan hit one six and one four in the 15th over. Amad Butt sent Mahedi Hasan to the pavilion, and he took the third wicket of the match in his third over. On the next ball, RGR reached 100 runs with a loss of six wickets. When RGR was struggling, the 19th overs turned great for them, and Rakibul Hasan smashed one four and one six. RGR couldn’t do much and lost three wickets in the last over.

RGR scored 129 runs in 20 overs with a loss of 10 wickets.

Chasing 130 runs, Munim Shahriar and Tamim Iqbal came at the crease, and Rakibul Hasan opened the attack. Munim opened the boundary account with a four in the first four. He started the second over with a four. After 3 overs, KLT was 16-0. The 4th over was good for the batter team as the batting side gathered 16 runs.

Azmatullah Omarzai came into the attack in the last over of the powerplay and took the wicket of Munim Shahriar. After 6 overs, KLT was 41-1. Tamim Iqbal smashed the two boundaries in the 8th over and reached his team to 50 runs. After 10 overs, KLT was 67-1. Once again, Tamim Iqbal smashed back-to-back boundaries on Mohammad Nawaz in the 11th over. Tamim Iqbal scored the half-century in 35 balls in the 14th over. In the next over, KLT reached 100 runs. After 15 overs, KLT was 102-1.

In the last 5 overs, KLT required 26 runs, and they achieved it in 18.2 overs. Mahmudul Hasan Joy smashed the winning six. The batting team scored 130/1 and won the match by 9 wickets.
