Bangladesh Premier League 2023: Comilla Victorians Beat Khulna Tigers by 7 Wickets

The 32nd match of Bangladesh Premier League 2023 was held between Comilla Victorians and Khulna Tigers on 31 Jan 2023 at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium. Comilla Victorians won the toss and opted to field first.

The first inning started with Tamim and Mahmudul Hasan Joy at the crease, and Naseem Shah opened the attack. Mahmudul Hasan lost his early wicket in the 3rd over. However, Tamim Iqbal and Shai Hope took the team to 37 runs with a loss of 1 wicket. Both players played well, hit boundaries, and scored 85 runs in the 10 overs.

Shai Hope completed his 50 in the 11th over in a total of 27 balls, while on the other hand, Tamim reached the half-century in the 15th over. Comilla Victorians took the second wicket of the first inning in the last over when Mosadedek dismissed Tamim at 95(61). Nonetheless, Khulna Tigers put up a massive score of 210/2.

The second inning started with Litton Das and Rizwan at the crease, and Shafiqul Islam opened the attack. Rizwan lost his early wicket in the 3rd over. However, Mohammad Rizwan and Johnson Charles took the team to 44 runs in 6 overs.

Rizwan completed his 24-ball fifty in the 9th over, and with this, Comilla reached 99 runs in 10 overs. Johnson also completed his fifty in the 13th over but could not go beyond that as Nasum dismissed him in the 14th over. Khushdil came to the crease and hit some incredible boundaries.  He tried hard to chase the targeted run score, but Amad dismissed him in the 18th over. While on the other hand, Johnson Charles completed his 100 in the same over.

With the efforts of Johnson Charles, Comilla Victorians finished the second inning with a win in the 19th over, making a total of 213 runs with a loss of 3 wickets.
