Analysis: India’s Best XI For The T20 World Cup 2022 | CBTF Speed News

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the playing squad for the men in blue. With minor tweaks and turns, the teams have been changed and there are no big surprises in the game. The T20 World Cup 2022 is starting from October 16 to November 13, 2022.

According to the latest cricket news, Ireland has released its squad that they believe to be the strongest ever. So, for the forthcoming cricket event, will team India stand tough to face the participating teams and lift the World Cup 2022 trophy? Let’s have a detailed analysis on the current squad.

A Look into the Performances of the Current Indian Players

Undoubtedly, team India has the toughest players and for T20 World Cup 2022, it is essential to double check the team’s performance.

1.Rohit Sharma (Captain) and KL Rahul

Rohit Sharma is brilliant on India’s attacking batting from the top order. He played at a strike rate of 145 in the power plays in T20Is in 2022 while ending the Asia Cup with a 72-run knock of 41 balls against Sri Lanka.

Despite having a battling and woeful Asia Cup performance, KL Rahul seems to have his place intact as an opener in the forthcoming cricket tournament. In the past, Rahul came after a two-month injury layoff and this might be the reason for him to find his groove. Against Afghanistan, he scored 63 off 41 which is enough to make him feel confident about his potential. Before the mega showdown, the matches against Australia and South Africa will help him regain his flow with his bat.

2. Virat Kohli and Suryakumar Yadav

Due to the recent performances of King Kohli in the last few years, there were questions raised about his future performances in the Asia Cup.

However, he put an end to the doubts of all his fans and media by finishing the Asia Cup series as the second leading run-scorer. He slammed his maiden T20I century, hitting his 71st century. In T20Is, Kohli has a staggering record – 451 runs in 11 matches including 5 fifties.

Arguably, Suryakumar Yadav is the best T20 batter to demonstrate his skills on the pitch better. With his appearances in 26 T20Is, Yadav has smashed 811 runs with a jaw-dropping strike rate of 173.

3. Hardik Pandya and Axar Patel

Hardik Pandya and Axar Patel are the greatest finishers in the Indian cricket team. Hardik Pandya is as imperative to the side as any player could be in any cricket team.

The seam bowling all-rounder, Pandya can bat both as an anchor and a six-hitter. He has been sensational since he returned to the IPL 2022 and he walks into any XI in the world.

However, India’s loss to Pakistan and Sri Lanka may not be a good indicator but he serves greatly as a 6th bowler in the team.

4. Dinesh Karthik or Rishabh Pant?

Dinesh Karthik is a wicket-keeper of the Indian cricket team. Deciding on keeping him for the T20 World Cup 2022 would be a tough call for the management and they would need to brainstorm. With Jadeja getting injured, the Indian team is in all the mess to form great combinations again significantly.

Ravindra Jadeja got injured in the Asia Cup 2022 and India squad had to go with Deepak Hooda and Rishabh Pant instead of fixing Axar Patel.

Deepak Hooda is all-rounder in the batting field but it’s also a fact that he didn’t bowl in the recent losses of team India whereas Axar Patel is a bowling all-rounder who hasn’t shown much with the bat.

To accommodate the left hander, Pant, Indian squad decided to drop Dinesh Karthik in the lineup and aligned Hooda as the finisher. This move of the management of team India wasn’t much successful.

For the current playing team, Karthik will remain as the best finisher, bar Pandya. For the Indian team, if Dinesh Karthik won’t be in the starting eleven at the T20 World Cup 2022, it will be shocking for the team as he could play more pacers than spinners. In the T20 format, Karthik has amassed 198 in the opening overs.

To play the upcoming matches in the T20 World Cup 2022, R Ashwin could come in to play instead of Axar. Undoubtedly, Ashwin’s batting has improved this year.

5. Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Yuzvendra Chahal, Jasprit Bumrah, Arshdeep Singh in Playing XI

In the playing XI, Bumrah walks into the squad and with Bishnoi not in the squad (in standbys). Chahal made a good comeback with Sri Lanka after playing a couple of ordinary matches. Bhuvneshwar Kumar also has demonstrated a thunderous form with the new ball, irrespective of his multiple of poor outings in the death overs in Asia Cup 2022.

After the losses in Asia Cup, Rohit Sharma mentioned that India tried for three seamers that included Pandya but they won’t revert to four seamers. This may be an indication for the T20 World Cup 2022 in Australia.

This arised a tough competition between Arshdeep Singh and Harshal Patel as both of them are excellent in the death overs while Harshal is brilliant in adding some depth. Although, he hasn’t been yet tested at the international level. Arshdeep brings the left-arm angle and has the potential to swing his ball both ways.
