Afghanistan Tour of Sri Lanka, 2022 – Sri Lanka vs Afghanistan, 3rd ODI Preview
In the 2nd match of AFG vs SL, Afghanistan posted 228 runs while Sri Lanka was just at 10 runs but the rain impeded the play and the match ended with no result. After proper inspection, the match was called off due to heavy rain.
However, in the first clash, Afghanistan took the lead against SL by 60 runs. To favor the series to their side, Afghanistan will look to win the third match of the series. For this, their batters must roll their sleeves to mark their name in history.
In the 2nd clash, the top order of AFG depicted a poor show and Rahmat Shah’s strike could be difficult for the side on the favoring batting pitch. The Afghan started their innings at a great pace with great power.
Kasun Rajitha from Sri Lanka dismissed 3 batters in 31 balls in 9 overs. As opposed to Hasaranga and de Silva claiming two wickets, Theekshana and Lahiru each claimed two wickets.
Pathum Nissanka scored 83 and Wanindu Hasaranga 66 with a good batting performance in the opening game against Afghanistan. The home team couldn’t defeat them due to the weak batting efforts of the other players.
